I visited your store in Keswick to buy a replacement pair of boots after my old ones gave up after many years. I was fortunate enough to be given a great deal of time and knowledge from one of your staff.
I must have possibly the worst feet in the world, and believe me it was no easy task for her to find an appropriate boot and then to stretch and adjust for an almost perfect fit. It was refreshing after visiting other shops in Keswick, to find someone who wanted to help, not just to sell.

I have had major blister problems with boots I have had in the past and was desperate to find a pair that gave me pain free walking. Your sales assistant was very patient and gave excellent advice during the time (more than an hour) that I nagged her to find the perfect boots. I have since had many miles of blister free walking/climbing and would like to thank all involved for their expertise and patience.

"I am writing to ask if you would pass on my thanks to your Boot Consultants!
We come to Keswick every year for a holiday and every year we hire boots for our sons from George Fisher. Last year, during a boot fitting, one of your consultants noted that my elder son had severely fallen arches. I had assumed that this was something to be endured but he assured us that it was treatable and to see a podiatrist as soon as possible. I took my son to our G.P. on our return to Norfolk who immediately referred him to an NHS podiatrist. Alex had 7 months of treatment (physiotherapy) and corrective insoles in his shoes. The transformation has been remarkable! Alex now stands better and has stopped having trouble with his knees and hips. As promised by the George Fisher consultant, he is even a yard or two faster!
We are extremely grateful for the advice that was given and would like our thanks to be passed onto "the team", as we can't remember the name of the individual concerned."
